Privacy
How your details are used.
What LeftField keeps about you, why, who sees it and for how long, in plain words. It’s written for players as well as parents and guardians. Updated 16 October 2026.
The basics
Who we are
LeftField is a football agency run by John Tarazi, an FA Registered Football Agent. John decides how your information is used, so under UK data protection law he’s responsible for it. You can reach him at john@leftfield.agency.
What we never do
We never sell your information or use it for advertising. We never email a player under 18: everything for a player under 18 goes to their parent or guardian. This site uses no cookies and no tracking.
Financial advice
LeftField doesn’t give financial advice. John is also a qualified mortgage adviser at Echo Finance Limited. If you take mortgage, protection or equity release advice from him, Echo Finance gives it, and it handles your information under its own privacy notice.
If you get in touch
What we ask for
On the Connect form: the player’s name, date of birth, current club, position, favourite team, what they’re hoping for next and, if you add one, a link to a highlight video. Then a way to reply: your name, email and, if you give it, a phone number. For a player under 18, a parent or guardian fills in the form and agrees to us replying. Someone at a club gives their name, club, role, email and what they’re looking for.
Why
To read your message and reply to it. The date of birth is there because The FA’s rules say when an agent may approach a young player. If the player is too young, the form says so and nothing is sent or saved. Our reason in law is that replying to you is in your interest and ours (legitimate interests), and for a player under 18, their parent or guardian’s agreement.
How long we keep it
If we don’t take things further, we delete your form submission six months after you sent it.
If we represent you
What we keep
What we need to represent a player: contact details for the player (if they’re 18 or over) and their parents or guardians, the representation agreement, fixtures, notes from games and from conversations with clubs, the emails we send, and the player profile we share with clubs.
Why
To do what you’ve agreed with us in the representation agreement, and to follow The FA’s rules for agents, which say we must lodge agreements with The FA and keep certain records.
What we share, and with whom
When a club could be interested, we send them a short profile of the player: football facts, video, minutes this season and our view. Never a date of birth, address, school or family details, and nothing goes to a club without you knowing. A profile link stops working after 30 days, and never lasts more than 90. We give The FA what its rules require, such as the signed agreement.
Health
We don’t ask for health details. If you tell us about something like an injury because it matters for your football, we only record it with your agreement.
How long we keep it
While we work together. When that ends, we review what we hold once two years have passed without contact, and delete what we no longer need. Records of the emails we send stay with the player’s record and are deleted with it.
If you work at a club
Where your details come from
Clubs publish the names, roles and work contact details of some of their staff, on their own website or their league’s. We use what’s published about people who deal with academies, recruitment and the first team, so we can contact the right person about players we represent. We never guess an address or look you up anywhere else, and we record where and when we found your details.
Why
It’s in our legitimate interests, and the players’, to reach the right person at a club. The first time we contact you, we tell you where we found your details.
If you’d rather not hear from us
Reply to any email from us, or email john@leftfield.agency, and we’ll remove your details. If your club stops listing you, we remove them too, unless we’ve already been in touch with you about a player.
Who else handles it
Who sees it
John. The people who build and look after LeftField’s systems for him can reach the records when that work needs it, and keep them confidential.
The services we use
This site and our records are hosted on Amazon Web Services in London. Our emails are sent through Postmark, and John’s email account is with Google. They handle your information only to provide those services to us. Postmark and Google may store it outside the UK; where they do, it’s protected by the safeguards UK law requires. The fonts on this site come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them, which shares your device’s internet address with Google but sets no cookies.
Keeping it safe
Only people we allow can sign in to our records, with a password and a code from their phone. Connections to this site and to our records are encrypted.
Your rights
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold about you or your child. You can also ask us to correct it, delete it, stop using it or limit how we use it, or to give you a copy you can take elsewhere. Email john@leftfield.agency and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re under 18
These rights are yours as well as your parents’ or guardians’. A parent or guardian can also ask on your behalf.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve used your information, tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
